Tips Iron & Steel - Baylor St. & 6th St., Austin, TX
[June 2008] A few years ago I had the opportunity to spend a few afternoons exploring an old steel factory in downtown Austin with my 8x10 camera. I made numerous negatives, about 25 in total, during the few short hours I was able to spend there. A few weeks ago I dug out the 25 8x10 negatives and decided to print them as a series. I had never taken the time to cull them down and truly concentrate on them as a concise body of work. I just recently finished printing them as 8x10 platinum/palladium contact prints and discovered a nice small 10 print series.
